Did you know that drinking wheat grass juice can be excellent for people juicing vegetables for a cleansing diet?

There are many health advantages to drinking wheat grass juice. If you are a person who is on a cleansing diet, then you will definitely want to consider adding this special antioxidant food. The juice of young wheat grass plants has wonderful blood cleansing properties. Juicing this plant helps your body to clean up toxins and other body pollutants that may have built up over the years. The juice has about the same concentration of protein as meat. It also has vitamin B12, vitamin A, chlorophyll and other nutrients. As the plant is growing, it is able to absorb more than 90 essential minerals from the soil. Wheatgrass juice has been used to treat all sorts of ailments including hepatitis, high cholesterol, arthritis, ulcers and hypoglycemia. If all that wasn't enough evidence, it also can be classified as an antioxidant food because it contains superdioxide dismutase (SOD) which has been shown to slow the deterioration of cells. For all these reasons, it is perfect for you if you are on or considering a cleansing diet.

Where can you get wheat grass juice?

The best source for wheatgrass juice is to grow it yourself from organic seeds. You can buy growing kits that contain the soil, trays and organic seeds. If you have the necessary equipment already, then all you would need is to buy the seeds. You plant the seeds and water them and in 7 to 9 days the plants should be about 8 inches tall. Cut the grass about 1/2 an inch above the soil. The cut grass will grow a second time on about another 7 days. After the second growing, add some organic compost to the soil and start again. If all of that seems too difficult for you, today, instead of making your own juice, you can buy it in powdered form. The concentrations of vitamins change a bit in powdered form but it is still very nearly the same product.

Make sure when you start taking wheatgrass juice that you go slow at first. Everyone's starting at a different level of balance so you may or may not experience some cleansing side effects like diarrhea, gas or even vomiting. For people on a cleansing diet, you will probably become aware that your body is flushing more toxins from the body. When that happens, the blood can become dirtier and you can even feel sick. This will pass as the body cleanses and heals itself. Rest assured, it is normal. Continue taking wheatgrass juice and gradually change the amount until you are no longer experiencing any problems.
